Blind Field

Blind Field is an artist collective formed in 2011. The collective exists to provide a platform for critique and development of work within a current photographic discourse. Although exploring individual concepts and utilising diverse modes of production and presentation the artists in Blind Field are unified through an interest to explore photography's ability to represent the world they inhabit. Coming from three distinct historical perspectives of photography they engage with notions of the encounter, narrative and the constructed picture. The approaches taken by the artists individually address technologies impact on our visceral experience of the photographic and how our perspective of the world has been altered through the mass consumption of imagery.
